Bakrieland Receives “Bisnis Indonesia Award 2008”

The Best Listed Company of Property and Real Estate Category

PT Bakrieland Development Tbk (Bakrieland, ELTY.IJ, ELTY.JK) received an award as the best listed company in the Property and Real Estate category, during the ‘Bisnis Indonesia Award 2008’ gala that was held in Jakarta on Monday (7/7). Bisnis Indonesia Award 2008, which is considered as the top award event for the business community in the country, has been staged for the 7th times since it was started in 2002. “This year we promote ‘Empowering the Real Sector” as the main theme. It means, we present this award only to those companies that had shown productivities and capabilities as well as proven contributions to real sector development during the year of 2007,” Editor in Chief of Bisnis Indonesia Ahmad Djauhar said.

According to Ahmad Djauhar, Bisnis Indonesia in co-operation with Asean Business Advisory has agreed to promote the best companies in this award forum to compete with the best companies from other Asean countries. Hence, this year’s award winner will have the opportunities to play in a wider platform, since they will be included in the selection of best performing companies in Asean Business Award, which will be held in Bangkok at the end of this year.

Bisnis Indonesia Award 2008 comprises 8 categories of listed companies, i.e. fishery and agriculture, mining, basic industry and chemistry, various industry, consumer goods, property and real estate, infrastructure, utility and transportation, as well as trading, service and investment.

This award is yet another addition to a series of outstanding achievement awards received by Bakrieland, and just right after the award of the Developer of the Year 2008, which was received from State Minister of Public Housing, in co-operation with Property & Bank magazine.
